Standards conversion
PAL to NTSC, NTSC to

NTSC is the
standard used in the USA and
SECAM
is the standard used in France and parts of the Middle East.
PAL is the format used in the UK and the
majority of Europe.
We can convert
from any standard to
any standard.
If you want to send a DVD to relatives in
the USA, it is best to send an NTSC disc as few US TVs will
display a PAL signal.
We can offer this service for all of the tape formats we
support.

If you just want your tapes
converted to a format so you can edit them yourself on your pc
choose one of these services.
Footage provided on
a data
disc in mpeg format
Your tapes will be transferred
directly to MPEG-II format on a data disc.
Price: As standard service.
Footage provided on data
discs in DV AVI format
As above however the footage
will be presented in DV-AVI format to ensure the highest
possible quality. DV-AVI files are approximately 13 GB per hour
of footage, therefore we split your tape across a number of
discs. Approximately 20 minutes per disc. Simply import into
your preferred editing software. Alternatively if you have a
number of tapes you
would like in DV AVI
format you can send an external hard drive for us to use instead
of DVD-Rs. Please

Additional
Information
DVD-R come in 2 formats - DVD+R and DVD-R. The
majority of DVD players nowadays can play both formats, however
some older players will only play one or the other. We use
DVD-R for all work unless specifically requested
otherwise.
If in doubt consult the
documentation that came with your player, or visit the
manufacturer's website.
Upon
completion of your work we will return your tape/s along with
your requested media. We will keep a digital copy of your
project on hard disk for 14 days to safeguard against any
problems.
Simple transfers can be completed within 72hrs*. More
intensive jobs may take longer, however we endeavour to mail
your completed project to you within 5 days*.
Your tapes will be returned by Recorded Delivery (included in
price). Optional Special Delivery is available for an additional
£4.75 for up to 2 tapes.
